The Noodle Lover Club: Reviews & Ratings
Checked out the Noodle Lover Club and it was delicious a def step up from the previous business Thai noodle house. A little back story, a couple years back I was on a mission to find really good Thai boat noodles in the East bay so, I didn't have to drive to the city to get my Thai boat noodle fixin'. All I found were spots that put too much blood that made the broth like pudding or just really bland boat noodles. Comes along The Noodle Lover Club with really good boat noodles. Plenty of meat and a perfect amount of blood added to the broth. We got the beef boat noodles that came filled with thin sliced beef, tripe, liver and beef balls. The pork boat noodle with intestine thin sliced pork and pork liver. The only thing we were missing to make it off the charts was some fried pork skins haha The hoi jor are also a must for starter though I wish the meat had a little more bounce to it as the only real texture was from the deep fried bean curd skin. But flavor was perfect. Definitely our go to spot for boat noodle from now on for easy accessibility though the boat noodles I get in the city is a bit better.
Generous portions provide for a good value at The Noodle Lover Club. Our group of four ordered the fish cake appetizer, crispy pork, massaman chicken curry and beef pad see ew and we had plenty of food. The fish cakes were a delicious way to start our meal. However, the entrees were a bit of a let down. The protein that came with our entrees were average. The pad see ew noodles had excellent flavor and were cooked perfectly, but the beef was a bit bland. The crispy pork wasn't crispy...just chewy, and the massaman curry was slightly above average. Overall, the meal was slightly above average. I would have given this restaurant a 3.5 stars if given the option. Service was friendly and attentive. Mixed feelings about this place....may have to come back for a second try.
Just discovered this spot about a month ago. It's the perfect place when you're craving noodle soup but not sure what kind. They have an extensive menu of broths with toppings, and you get to pick the noodle of your choice! The service is excellent, the servers are kind and not overwhelming. Each table has a service button to let them know you are ready to order, get the bill, or need help with anything. I love the atmosphere. It is low-key but with class. It is also nicely decorated, and has a nice view of Park Street and its sunsets. The food feels homemade, not too over the top, which I believe helps keep the prices accessible, making the overall experience enjoyable. I will continue coming back! Pictured: unagi miso soup with udon. I wish the broth was a bit richer/creamier as it's said in the description, but overall pretty good. Would recommend!
Noodles, noodles, noodles! OMG! If you love noodles as much as I do, then @thenoodleloverclub got you! They have ALL types of noodles!! All the delicious noodles I grew up eating. @thenoodleloverclub is a such hidden gem on the island (Alameda). The food is delicious here. We had so much fun trying all the different noodles & rice dishes. The mala hotpot was such a treat to share with friends; while the Roast pig, Crispy Pork Belly & Chinese sausage over rice were so nostalgic and comforting to my soul. I’m drooling thinking about it. Don’t forget their beautiful and refreshing drinks. They have delicious alcoholic slushy. So next time you’re on the island, make sure to drop by @thenoodleloverclub with your friends, family, or even coworkers.
Just landed in Oakland and need to grab something to eat. Checked on Yelp and this place has average of 4.5 star. We gave it a try because they have the Thai Boat Noodle, which is hard to find in the states. We ordered two versions; thin noodle and wide noodle. They are no too bad. They don't meet my expectations of being authentic. I have very high expectations being grew up in Thailand and are authentic Thai food. For the good, it is a four star. However, they deserve a compliments for keeping the restroom clean and smell good. As a fellow restaurantners, I am also proud to see a clean restroom at restaurants. Yes, this is on the list for revisit and try other menu items.
Extensive menu with many interesting options! Fish cakes are great, my son loves the spring rolls, the spicy soup is very spicy so be warned. Kway chab is good (flat noodles with all kinds of pork from ribs to intestines and liver). I had the duck with crispy pork and rice tonight which was delicious. Portions are huge! Many stars for this place. Service and ambience were also lovely. The plants are super cute - almost wish they were for sale too.
They just opened, so we had no idea what to expect. It was great! Very thai-themed but with hot pot and other varieties of noodle dishes. Everything was superb, service was top notch, and the decor and atmosphere was casual but pleasant (with lots of plants).
Quaint little spot off Park St in Alameda. The food is pretty good and decently priced. Staff is friendly, though service a slight slow. Still, would definitely recommend for a chill time and grabbing food with friends in Alameda.
